Dr. Sam Babu
Dr. Sam Babu was born in India and came to the United States as a green card holder for his residency. Sam had to register for the Selective Service and ended up getting drafted into the Vietnam War because they needed doctors. He served with the 95th Evac in Danang and worked as a radiologist. While overseas, Sam experienced a mass casualty event of over 30 men who arrived by helicopter. The doctors there had to decide who was going to live and who was going to die. Sam decided to stay in the Army, retiring after twenty-five years.
